How You Can Help Build Fort Worth The City of Fort Worth faces a community-wide challenge of providing adequate infrastructure to support the significant growth within the City while replacing aging infrastructure. The City’s goal is to complete over $1.8 billion in capital projects over a five year period. The needed capital projects range from neighborhood streets to water treatment facilities, drainage pipelines to communication towers, major arterials to community centers.

J.D. Granger, a long-time supporter and volunteer of the Trinity River Vision Master Plan, was hired in 2006 to manage the TRV Project. J.D. worked previously as an Assistant District Attorney for Tarrant County. He has served on the TRV steering committee since 2000, chaired the Trinity Uptown Design Standards Citizen’s Advisory Board. In addition, he has served on the Board of Streams and Valleys, Inc. since 1999, Downtown Design Review Board and the Cabela’s and Downtown TIF boards. He also has worked on the City of Fort Worth’s Downtown Strategic Action Plan on Housing, Access and Circulation Committee and Open Spaces/Public Art Committee.

Ken Hall, CH2MHill Program Manager
Ken Hall is the Vice President and Program Manager in CH2M Hill’s Fort Worth office. He is a registered professional engineer with over 22 years of experience both as a consultant and in industry. Ken is currently serving as the Program Manager for the City of Fort Worth’s Integrated Program Management effort, which is the topic of his presentation at the Construction Zone breakfast. In this role he is working with the City’s management and staff to improve processes for delivering capital projects and significantly increase the City’s project delivery capacity. Ken holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Christi Johnson is the Senior HUB Coordinator for The University of Texas System. She currently oversees HUB coordination on major construction projects statewide and personally manages HUB coordination on UT campuses in Dallas, Arlington and Tyler for projects managed by UT System Office of Facilities Planning and Construction. Christi also holds a certification as a Contract Compliance Administrator.
Stephanie Park, The University of Texas System Mentor-Protégé Coordinator
Stephanie is the Mentor-Protégé Coordinator for The University of Texas System, Office of HUB Development. Stephanie graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and prior to her current position, worked in the private sector developing and implementing programs to advance professional development in public education.

Anthony Coleman, North Texas Tollway Authority Business Diversity Director
Anthony Coleman, the NTTA’s business diversity director, is responsible for providing leadership in defining the objectives and strategies for the Authority’s Business Diversity Department, including managing the program and developing the policy. Coleman plans, directs, organizes and coordinates the administration of the NTAA’s programs designed to increase inclusion of all business enterprises. He interacts with outside organizations and associations to disseminate information pertaining to contracting opportunities. Coleman oversees contract compliance, directs major outreach efforts, and manages contract compliance and the budget process. Coleman is an innovative manager with more than 27 years of experience in progressive governmental program development and management.
Michael Bauer, SH 121 (SWP) Corridor Manager
Micahel Bauer graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and receieved a Masters of Science in 1993 from the University of Illinois. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri, Illinois and Texas and is a registered Structural Engineer in Illinois. Michael has been employed with JACOBS Engineering Group for 17 years and has held various leadership roles in different parts of the country. He relocated from Chicago to North Texas in 2004 and has since worked in Program Management roles on several major/mega-projects including: IH-635/LBJ Freeway Managed Lanes Project for TxDot, SH-121/US-75 Multi-level interchange Project for NTTA, and currently the Southwest Parkway Project for NTTA.
The University of North Texas Dallas Building #2 Meet Beck Group/Warrior Group, the construction manager of the UNT Dallas Building #2 project. Representatives will discuss opportunities on this $32 million project whihc will consist of a 100,000 square foot, three level classroom building with a library, food facilities, multi-purpose room, offices, labs, vegetated roof and more. The project will start in the summer of 2009.

Trelaine managed construction of the first LEED Automotive Dealership in the nation. The structure achieved Silver Level certification. Trelaine receieved the opportunity to join Warrior Group, Inc. based in Desoto, TX and grow a division that focuses on CM at Risk and General Contracting with a market segment concentration in K-12, Higher Education and Healthcare construction. Jeff Helmreich has 24 years of construction experience with the Beck Group - 14 years in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Office buildings, data centers, churches and large educational projects at UCLA and Stanford University comprise the majority of his construction experience.
